Heya x

(Yes I know I missed a blog post last week - pls let me live, slowly getting worse day by day lol)

So, this has been my 3rd/4th week of unemployment - I think? And sis, I am lost.

The most common feelings to feel (no shit you feel your feelings - wow) at this age is lost, scared, left out and not seen or maybe not valid? Everyone feels different things so sis - if you’re not feeling it or maybe feeling other things - it’s ok.

Life has a funny way of working out sometimes, you would have very high points but then to humble yourself you would have very low points as well - I can say that currently I’m going through a very low point, I’m feeling as if everything is against me, as if no-one is in my favour and it’s like I’m a burden to not only myself but to the ones I love - but, if you would’ve came to ask me how I was feeling 5 weeks ago I would’ve said that life couldn’t get any better - funny, right?

Thankfully, I have some “things” to do mainly, working on OC trying to get a team together and getting our name out there (easier said than done .. lolz) yet, I’m lacking self-fulfilment.

I’m lacking a routine, I’m being super lazy and I hate it, I’m lacking communication from the ones around me - which sucks and the worst one of all, I’m lacking being me.

This is a phase where as I said I feel lost, as if there is nothing to write about expect sad stuff, there is nothing to say that has not been said and there is nothing else I can physically or mentally do to get me out of this slump.

Yet, I’m also weirdly embracing this slump - I’m trying to understand why certain things happen and how we should react / handle things that are out of our control and I’m reading a ton of books because oh well, my life is boring enough might as well read about someone else’s.

Enough about me - how would I as the writer recommend for you to get out of a similar situation?

Easy (I know not really but hear me out) - LIVE.

Your life doesn’t end just because you do not have a job I know there are many limitations financially but it doesn’t just end, you can still go to the beach, you can still download a book and read it on your phone, and in my opinion this is the best thing you can do, enjoy the simplest of things that mean the most to you.

Whenever we’re working we tend to miss out on the little things that mean the most, for example a sunrise and sunset - for me, this has a bigger meaning, with every sunrise and with every sunset it is a constant reminder that bad days do not last forever and any long day / week or month - can have a beautiful ending / beginning. If you would’ve been stuck in an office, you would’ve wondered if you can hear the birds chirping in such a busy and hectic island or maybe if there are any beaches that you never explored— why don’t you go and find out.

We tend to stop living when we’re constantly on the go - we tend to exist, this is your time to truly find yourself and embrace the change that is going on around you.

Whether the change is positive or negative always, try to find the “bright” side of everything as you’re reading this, you might say ok she is such a hypocrite she just admitted in the beginning of this post how miserable she is - I know.

Yet, I do not want anyone else to go through what I’m going through - no matter who you are or whatever you did in your life, never let yourself be miserable.

Go, get up and live.

Stop dwelling on the past or trying to plan your future (it never really goes to plan does it)

Always keep in mind the famous Pinterest quote we all know and love ….

“Live, Love, Laugh”

And, just like I always say, if you would love a friend to speak to or maybe a word of positive advice - OC is here to listen and help out 🫶🏻

I’m off maybe I’ll start living and loving ..

Peace and Love,

OC 🤎
